Supporting the Community Through Reiki
Our Commitment to Professional Service
Volunteering forms the compassionate foundation of the Association’s community service. For many years, we have systematically worked to build strong, reciprocal relationships with a wide range of mainstream health service providers across Western Australia. Our commitment to maintaining these partnerships relies on clear, professional standards. The implementation of our strict Standards of Training and our comprehensive Annual Volunteer Induction Program ensures the consistency, transparency, and high quality of Reiki as a complementary treatment, giving our healthcare partners absolute confidence in our service.
As RAWA volunteers, our primary role is to embody the principles of trust and support for both clients and our healthcare partners. We understand that a Reiki session is designed to help the body find its natural balance again, offering a deep, meditative relaxation that activates self-healing processes through universal life force energy. To maintain the integrity of this service, every one of our practitioners adheres rigorously to our Codes of Conduct as well as strict Australian professional standards. This systematic approach, covering confidentiality, hygiene, and ethical conduct, ensures that our service remains professional, consistently high-quality, and integrated smoothly within the broader healthcare environment.

Volunteer Induction Program
The Association introduced the Volunteer Induction Program (VIP) to ensure that all clients consistently receive professional, high-quality treatments from our volunteers. The following outlines the key aspects of the program:
- The VIP ensures that every client benefits from a consistent standard of professionalism and care in treatment provided by volunteers.
- The program is available to all Members who wish to gain confidence in treating people beyond their friends and family.
- Members who wish to represent The Reiki Association of WA must complete the VIP annually.
- Completion of the VIP is a prerequisite for volunteering at any Reiki Association WA event.
- Volunteers are covered by the Association’s professional indemnity insurance while undertaking Association activities.
- Individuals holding Level 1 membership are invited to further training before fulfilling the VIP requirements.
These measures collectively serve to promote Reiki and support its recognition within the broader community as a professional and credible modality of treatment.

The Healing Line: Volunteer Service and Remote Support
The RAWA Healing Line is a unique and vital community service, operating entirely through the generosity and dedication of our volunteer practitioners. This initiative provides a structured and compassionate way to offer remote Reiki sessions. We extend deep gratitude to Carolyn for her tireless effort in managing this vital program, ensuring practitioners are seamlessly connected with individuals seeking support. This systematic coordination allows the universal life force energy to flow effectively where it is needed most, demonstrating Reiki’s capacity to offer care beyond physical boundaries. This service is a core example of our commitment to supporting the well-being of the wider community.
How to Submit a Healing Line Request
Accessing this supportive community service is straightforward. Follow these three simple steps to ensure your request is placed on the Healing Line:
Submit Your Request: Complete the Healing Line Request Form below (or via the link). You must provide the recipient’s full name (first and last name) along with their suburb or country of residence.
Volunteer Support: Once submitted, these essential details are distributed to our network of committed volunteers. These practitioners will then include the individual in their distance Reiki sessions for a full month.
Renewal: If continued support is needed, simply repeat the submission process each month for as long as required. There is no limit to the length of support provided.
