Code of Ethics
Reiki Association Practitioners will:
- Work with integrity, impartiality and respect for all individuals
- Maintain ethical and non-exploitive client relationships
- Observe the highest standards of Reiki practice
- Provide appropriate client support and confidentiality
Code of Practice
Reiki Association Practitioners will:
- Conduct themselves in accordance with the Reiki Association’ Code of Ethics
- Follow the Usui System of Reiki Healing
- Will not incorporate any other modalities into their Reiki treatment unless contracted by the client to do so
- Respect and Honour all clients with equality and without discrimination
- Provide a safe, nurturing treatment area
- Follow required protocols when providing treatments in other institutions
- Have appropriate Insurance cover
- Never exploit clients financially, sexually, emotionally or otherwise
- Provide new clients with a general introduction to Reiki practice, and briefly describe the treatment process
- Maintain, and keep secure, clear factual records of treatments, and any given advice
- Maintain client confidentiality; except as required by law
- Never diagnose, prescribe nor promise cure
- Refer clients to other health practitioners when appropriate
- Not denigrate other Reiki Practitioners, nor other health workers, nor other modalities
- Continue their personal Reiki practice
- Undertake appropriate Professional Development
- Refer member disputes to the Reiki Association for mediation
